About Our Doctor
Dr. Baez-Franceschi’s initial desire to discover and develop new ideas occurred at the age of 13 during her research done with the National Forest Service scientists, published in 1979.
She majored in biology at the University of Puerto Rico and graduated magna cum laude in 1990. Her passion for research gained her national recognition including scholarships from the National Science Foundation, Minority Biomedical Research Support, and the National Institutes of Health.
She attended the Medical Sciences Campus at the University of Puerto Rico, received her doctorate degree with honors in 1994, and went on to complete her residency at the All Children’s Hospital, now known as Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, in St. Petersburg, Florida. The American Board of Pediatrics certified her in 1997 and 2015. After finishing her training, she started working in a private office and as a CMS physician where she was assigned to deliver care for children with severe chronic and developmental problems. While working on this assignment, she became very frustrated with the limited programs available to help these children improve their development. Little did she know that this frustration would plant the seed that would eventually evolve in new developments and the center of her future professional life. In 2003, she received the title of Associate Professor from the University of Puerto Rico and has trained Pediatric residents.
Beginning in 2005 Dr. Baez Franceschi spent much of her time researching and traveling the world to train with the best so that when the center opened, she would be fully prepared to offer unique treatments. She received training and certifications in multiple modalities of treatments: Homeopathic Medicine, Biomedical Treatments, Integrated Listening Systems, Advanced Practitioner, Hyperbaric Chamber, Neurofeedback professional training, etc.
For years, she was the Pediatric Medical Expert on a local TV station program that aired at noon. She has participated in a multitude of television appearances, radio interviews, written hundreds of articles where she demonstrates her expertise in treating children and adults with developmental delays. She has been invited as a speaker to numerous local and international professional and educational conferences for colleagues and patients.

Following her desire to develop a center that will treat children with developmental and neurological problems, she decided to open her own private practice in 2005; which evolved into what the Wellness Institute of Neurodevelopment (WIN) is today, a multidisciplinary center to treat children and adults with developmental delays. In September 2019, WIN Houston was inaugurated.
Her protocols combine her experience in taking care of difficult cases in combination with her knowledge of multiple modalities of treatments. The Franceschi MethodTM is the name of the compendium of her knowledge, which has resulted in a unique way of treating children with autism syndromes, attention deficit disorder (ADD), Down Syndrome, and other conditions that affect learning. The protocols are secure, evidence-based, and grounded in the patient to achieve maximum potential in the least amount of time and are confirmed by standardized and quantitative testing.
She has received recognition from colleagues and other organizations for her work in developing scientifically proven new ways of successfully treating children and adults with developmental delays - 2012 SME Top Management Award, 2013 Med Achievement Award, and The Legacy. Recently, she was awarded Top Doctor 2019-2020. 2020-2021.
In 2011, she created the Star Kids Foundation; a non-profit organization whose Board of Director is composed of parents that want other children that do not have the economic resources to benefit from the treatments offered in the clinic.
She developed the Franceschi MethodTM, a treatment protocol for neurological conditions, that combines different methodologies of treatment and continually measures that the patient is achieving maximum progress utilizing quantitative and neurological evaluations.
