What is Sensory Processing Gym?
At the Wellness Institute of Neurodevelopment, we utilize recreational therapy for mental health because we believe that our body and mind work as a whole and that we obtain significantly better results if we are having fun while developing skills. Our sensory processing gym includes state of the art equipment and every patient has the opportunity to use the latest in technology to accelerate development.
Why Recreational Therapy?
We believe and have demonstrated that the brain should be stimulated as a whole, not by parts, to be able to obtain the maximum progress. For this reason, the Franceschi Method Programs are based on stimulating motor, cognitive, speech, sensory, and socio-emotional skills at the same time in targeted therapeutic protocols.
While the patient utilizes this equipment, the computerized system is obtaining data on performance which allows us to measure skills and monitor progress. We strategically designed exercise programs that stimulate the brain in the areas of need.
